Award Privileges:
The call for applications closed on February 15th, 2026. Four high-quality applications were received and thoroughly evaluated by the jury. Following a unanimous decision, the award was granted to Prof. Jiro Matsuo.
2026 Award Jury:
The Alfred Benninghoven Award honors an individual who has made a major contribution to the field of Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) and related techniques. The contribution can be a game-changing invention or discovery, outstanding advances in fundamentals or applications, and/or a long-lasting engagement with a pronounced impact on the community.
The award is conferred biennially and is presented at the International SIMS Conference.
